Think Pink

Think Pink and Feel Your Boobies.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At Jeddy's school they had Think Pink Week with activities scheduled each day. One day, Jeddy wore all pink--and I have to mention he wore an old pair of my pink-polka-dot pants--he even wore a pink-polka-dot bra on the outside of a pink-tee. Of course administration made him take the bra off, because.... boys don't wear bras.

The next day, he repeated the costume, sans bra, but with the addition of butterfly wings and a pink filmy skirt over the pants. Hair dyed pink. Nails painted pink. Even down to pink show laces. All I can say is, "You go, Boy!"

The news was there and Jeddy was interviewed.

My message in this thread is to do your breast exams monthly. Get a mammogram whenever your age range recommends it. This is so important. I was extremely proud of my big, 14-year old son for not being afraid of what others might think and simply going for it and having fun.

Jeddy, you are awesome!
